A peaceful protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London, denouncing the barbaric lynching of a Hindu man and the broader persecution of the community by extremist elements in Bangladesh, was disrupted by Khalistani proxies on Saturday, exposing the playbook of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), sources told CNN-News18.

The Bangladesh Hindu Association and Indians had announced a peaceful protest against the targeted killings of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, particularly after the brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das – a young factory worker – sent shockwaves across the world. However, the protest was disrupted by pro-Khalistan groups and a brief scuffle ensued outside the Bangladesh High Commission in London.

The sudden arrival of Khalistani extremist groups at the exact location and time establishes prior planning and mobilisation and not just a mere coincidence. Their presence at a Bangladesh minority-rights protest was the clearest indicator of an external hand, as per sources.

ISI’s Involvement

Earlier, CNN-News18 had reported that the “long shadow" of Pakistan’s ISI is being cast across the country’s political and security landscape, with a goal of systematic radicalisation of the youth and the promotion of religious extremism through groups like the Jamaat-e-Islami and the Inquilab Mancha.

While Khalistani groups had no role in Bangladesh’s internal communal violence, their actions reflected a pattern of disruption, intimidation, and narrative hijacking. This exposed the ISI’s objectives to prevent the plight of Hindu victims in Bangladesh from being internationalised, according to sources.

The revival of Jamaat-aligned Islamist networks and strategic messaging has attempted to portray India as the real destabiliser, and Bangladesh’s internal disorder was used as a warfare tool outside the London mission.

Sources further revealed that ISI is running a dual strategy inside Bangladesh, with Islamist groups amplifying anti-India sentiment and suppressing minority narratives in the country. Outside Bangladesh, the ISI is using Khalistani proxies to attack Hindu and India-aligned voices in Western countries.

The real target of the recent disruption was not the protesting Hindus, but rather the narrative about Hindu killings, as the ISI wants to shift global focus from the situation in Bangladesh towards an anti-India narrative.
