Xiaomi 17 series launch in India and globally is just a few weeks from now, as mentioned by a tipster this week. Xiaomi introduced the new 17 series flagship phones in China back in September last year, and the wait has been unusually long to see these devices announced in India and other regions. But new details suggest we could finally see them out of China by early next month. The Xiaomi 17 series is tipped to have the regular 17 and the 17 Ultra models, while the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max look to be missing from the lineup for other countries. 

Xiaomi 17 Global And India Launch Gets Closer

The Xiaomi 17 series launch timeline in India and globally have been shared by tipster Yogesh Brar who has some exciting news for people in India. He claims the Xiaomi 17 launch globally will happen before the start of Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026) in Barcelona which means it could be either by the end of this month or early next month. In India, Xiaomi’s launch event is tipped, “towards early March," as shared by Yogesh in his post on X this week. 

Xiaomi 17 series launch in India has been previously teased by the company but without telling us which models will be announced. It does seem we will see the Xiaomi 17 and the 17 Ultra models in the country. 

This more or less confirms that the Xiaomi 17 Pro series is likely to be reserved for the Chinese audience. We did get a closer look at the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max version with the rear screen and it does look intriguing. But once again, we will get the Ultra model which is no slouch by any means. 

Xiaomi 17 sports a 6.3-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage that are paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The new phone gets Android 16-based HyperOS 3 version out of the box. It has a 50MP triple camera system with Leica-tuned lenses. And finally you have a 7,000mAh battery this year supported by 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds but the global variant could have different specs. 

Xiaomi 17 price in India should be around Rs 75,000 but it could easily cross the 80K mark this time around when it launches. And going by other premium devices, the 17 Ultra price in the country could be well above Rs 1 lakh when it launches next month.
