Shares of United Breweries are rose over 2% on Wednesday, August 26, after the alcohol maker said it has expanded Heineken Silver across Kerala, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh.
It said consumer demand for premium and international beer experiences continues to grow and the strong response to Heineken Silver in the existing markets reflects the evolving preferences.
The company said Heineken Silver is brewed using three natural ingredients -- barley, hops and water with Heneken's A-Yeast and a horizontal brewing process.
“The positive response to Heineken Silver highlights the growing consumer appetite for differentiated premium beer offerings. As we expand into Kerala, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh, we remain focused on strengthening our premium portfolio and making the brand available to more consumers across key markets," Vikram Bahl, Chief Marketing Officer, United Breweries Ltd,.
The company announced a mixed set of earnings in the first quarter.
It reported a standalone net profit of ₹166 crore, higher than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹147 crore, but was lower than the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Its revenue increased 7.1% to ₹3,067 crore from last year but was below Street estimates of ₹3,116 crore. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹283 crore in the June quarter was marginally ahead of estimates. Its operating margin expanded to 9.2% in comparison to Street expectations of 9% but was lower than 10.9% in the year-ago period.
The company had previously launched the Heineken Silver in New Delhi in November 2025.
As of August 26, a total of 21 analysts cover the stock, and a relative majority of nine analysts or 42.9%, indicate a 'sell' rating, seven analysts or 33%, have a 'buy' rating, and five or 23%, of the analysts have a 'hold' rating.
Stock In Focus

United Breweries shares ended the previous session up nearly 1%. The stock has declined 26% over the past year of trade. At ₹1,359 per share, the stock price is at a 28.12% deficit from its 52-week high mark of ₹1890.8 per share.
