As we move into the last trading session of this week, two recently listed stocks have got fresh buy calls from analysts.
First up, Jefferies has initiated coverage of SBI Funds Management, which listed on July 21 this year, with a 'Buy' rating and a target price of ₹710, up 25.66% from the latest closing price.
The Mumbai-based company, owned by State Bank of India (SBI) and Amundi, is India's largest mutual fund house, with over $130 billion in assets under management. The exclusive tie-up with the country's biggest bank gives SBI Funds leadership in smaller cities, where growth in equity investments via mutual funds is faster, the report added.
The analysts believe the operating profit for SBI Funds will compound at 15% a year till March 2029 and the AUM will grow at 18%. Two other analysts, Emkay and Equirus, also have a 'Buy' rating on the stock.
Manipal Health
Next up is another recently listed stock: Bengaluru-based Manipal Health, listed on August 05. HSBC initiated coverage with a 'Buy' rating and a target price of ₹1,000. This target is 25.32% higher than its last price of ₹797 per share.
The brokerage said that Manipal Health, 'India’s biggest private hospital operator', is set to sharpen its focus on profitability after doubling bed capacity since FY23.
The following are the significant estimates in the report:
Profit after tax may grow 3 times between FY26 and FY29
Net debt may improve to 0.7 times estimated FY27 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), compared to 3.7 times at the end of March 2026.
The improving profitability at Sahyadri Hospitals, which Manipal acquired last year, may act as an important catalyst for the consolidated bottom line.
Another brokerage, IIFL, also covers the stock and has a 'Buy' rating.
Both stocks closed largely flat on Thursday.
