Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The market is moving on a cautious note, as the indices look to make a recovery from opening lows of the day. The top three stocks gaining with the most volumes are fertiliser stocks, including the loss-making FACT (a government-owned company), which has overtaken Coromandel Fertilisers by market capitalisation.

Hindustan Copper is the most active stock in trade today. More than 16 million shares have exchanged hands in the first hour of trade as the government's offer for sale kicks of.

It's the first F&O expiry since the start of the closing auction session (CAS).

Market participants say today's expiry could prove particularly challenging because of single-stock options. Even a sharp last-minute move during the auction can alter the settlement outcome, potentially pushing contracts from out-of-the-money to in-the-money status.

Since these contracts are physically settled, such swings could leave investors facing unexpected delivery obligations, requiring them to either deliver shares or arrange funds for settlement.

The low hit on Aug 19, i.e. 24,026, will be a key level to track, considering the index has seen selling pressure every time it's tried to rise in the last one week. For the Nifty Bank, watch out for the 50-day moving average (DMA) at 57,615 and the 20-DMA at 57,550.

All sectoral indices, except Media, are in the red as of 10:20 am on Tuesday. With a jump of over 1.6%, AU Small Finance Bank is an outlier among banking stocks. Coforge is the only stock in the green in the IT pack. All Nifty Auto stocks are in the red.

Indus Tower, Swiggy, M&M Finance, Lodha Developers, are among the gaining counters. SAIL has surged nearly 2% as the stock came out of the F&O ban.
