Rahul Gandhi had earlier termed his allegations of vote theft as a "hydrogen bomb" aimed to expose the government, but the BJP has rebuffed his claims as a "dud".

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will launch a “plutonium bomb" and many other bombs regarding his vote theft allegations, said party leader Jairam Ramesh in a press conference on Wednesday.
“Rahul Gandhi said he will release a mini-hydrogen bomb, plutonium bomb, uranium bomb and many other bombs in the next month as part of his mission against vote theft. This is just the beginning. At least five crore signatures will be added to the campaign from September 15 to October 15," Ramesh said during the presser.
He further said these signatures will be presented to the Election Commission, accusing the poll body of not being willing to answer the questions of the Opposition and acting as a puppet for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He accused the ruling government of a massive diplomatic failure, citing the recent defence pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Turning to the economy, Ramesh said, “Eight years ago, Rahul Gandhi called GST a ‘Gabbar Singh’ tax. Demonetisation and GST caused financial shocks. We have been demanding reform in the GST for eight years. PM Modi’s GST 2.0 has not been implemented correctly."
