Apple could bring the higher-end MacBook Pro M5 models soon

Apple launched the M5 MacBook Pro in October last year and the company is being tipped to announce the M5 Pro and M5 Max versions of the MacBook Pro model as early as this month. The company hasn’t said anything to bring this rumour but a report by MacWorld has linked the recent launch of a new Apple Creator Studio subscription which caters to the Pro-level audience.

The new service will be available from January 28, 2026 onwards and the report claims that could be the date when Apple also teases or even launches the higher-end versions of the MacBook Pro M5 models in the market.

MacBook Pro M5 Pro And Max Launch Soon?

The company has introduced the first MacBook Pro M5 model so ideally one would expect Apple to refresh the MacBook Air lineup with the M5 silicone. However, the Creator plan has got people thinking that an M5 Max and M5 Pro version of the MacBook Pro 16-inch model seems more logical to bring first. And that’s what the report also hints at, which is why the timing of the new model coincides with the service availability later this month.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 version that is already available looks and feels like the previous version and most of the changes are on the hardware front. It has a 10-core CPU and comes in a 10-core GPU variant like the other models. You can get it with up to 32GB RAM and 4TB of SSD storage, and all variants are available.

The more important upgrade is the 16-core neural engine which is primed to take over the on-device AI tasks. The same 14-inch Liquid Retina display has been retained which comes with 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate. You can also pay extra for the nano-texture display variant.

The start of 2026 is likely to see Apple bring the iPhone 17e model and reports suggest that could happen in February. The new ‘e’ device should have some display upgrades, hardware changes and hopefully a better camera system.
