Personal intelligence means Gemini can see your Photos, mails and more
The Gemini evolution continues this month and now the company seems to be in a hurry to pack all the useful features into the AI model. Google is making Gemini as personal as possible which is why the latest update focuses on intelligence at a deeper level for the users.
The new Personal intelligence feature in Gemini allows you to link all the Google accounts and get the AI model to deliver responses and overall experience a lot more personally. This becomes even more powerful when you can link apps like Gmail, Photos, YouTube and even your personal Search history and get Gemini AI to do the heavy work.
Gemini ‘Personal Intelligence’ Push For Users
Google has a wide range of apps that can benefit from Gemini integration and this new feature is built with that in focus. The company says you can link the AI model and get suggestions based on the photos you have clicked or saved in the gallery.
You can also allow Gemini to browse through your hotel bookings and flight tickets to plan an itinerary based on the details scanned through these content. That’s not all, you can even link it with other Google services and get Gemini to craft a fitness schedule that is based on your regular activities.
That is a lot of access for Gemini that Google is willing to offer which some of the users will be really worried about giving. The company says privacy is at the top of its feature list which is why the link account to Gemini option is turned off by default and users will have to manually enable it from the Gemini settings to make it work. You can also choose which apps to connect with the AI model and you can turn it off whenever you don’t want Gemini to read through your data.
Google says the new personal avatar of Gemini is rolling out starting this week in the US for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Other regions where Gemini AI is available will be getting the option soon.
