A massive release of more than three million documents linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has raised questions about whether other influential men were involved in his sexual abuse network, despite repeated official claims that there was insufficient evidence to pursue third-party investigations.
Several of the newly disclosed files contain allegations from survivors suggesting that Epstein arranged for girls and young women to be sexually exploited by other men.
These claims echo earlier court filings and document disclosures that pointed to the possible involvement of individuals beyond Epstein and his longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
In one account detailed in the records, an accuser said Maxwell told her that Epstein was away but that one of his friends was staying at the house and wanted a massage.
During the encounter, the man allegedly offered her money in exchange for sex. The woman said she agreed and was paid afterward.
A prosecution memorandum dated January 26, 2021, prepared by assistant US attorneys in New York, describes this allegation.
According to the document, when the woman was later shown a photograph of former film producer Harvey Weinstein, she identified him as the man involved.
The prosecutors’ names in the memo were redacted. It remains unclear how thoroughly authorities examined the allegation, and Weinstein was never charged in connection with Epstein’s crimes.
Another document, an FBI presentation believed to have been created after July 2025, contains a similar claim.
It alleges that Epstein directed a victim to give Weinstein a massage, during which he allegedly pressured her to remove her clothing and later threatened to have other women force her to comply.
Weinstein, who is currently serving a prison sentence following separate sexual assault convictions, has firmly denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein.
Weinstein’s spokesperson said the document reflects unproven allegations rather than established facts. “Mr Weinstein was never charged, investigated, or found to have engaged in the conduct described," the representative said.
The FBI presentation also includes a page titled “Prominent Names," listing financier Leon Black.
The document does not indicate whether any claims against those named were verified. Under Black’s name, the presentation outlines allegations that Epstein instructed a woman to give him a massage while he was nude and that another woman was pressured into performing a sexual act.
One document in the newly released tranche notes that the Manhattan district attorney’s office at one point began examining allegations involving Black.
However, Black has never been criminally charged in relation to Epstein.
Two civil lawsuits filed against him were either dismissed or withdrawn, and a third remains subject to a pending motion. Prosecutors declined to confirm whether an investigation took place.
Black has consistently denied the allegations.
Earlier document releases had already suggested Epstein may not have acted alone. In an FBI report from 1996, artist Maria Farmer, who worked for Epstein and whose sister was also abused, alleged that Epstein stole nude photographs of her siblings and may have sold them.
Separate records indicate that Epstein and others may have possessed or shared sexually explicit images involving minors.
In 2023, a lawyer representing a co-executor of Epstein’s estate contacted the FBI after discovering potentially illegal material during a document review.
According to the letter, one video appeared to have been shared with Epstein by an individual previously convicted of child pornography-related offenses.
Other documents include emails discussing the movement of “girls" and travel arrangements, allegedly involving French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. Brunel, who was accused of recruiting underage girls for Epstein, was arrested in 2020 and later died by apparent suicide while in custody.
Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, had alleged in court filings that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to powerful men, including members of royalty.
Giuffre claimed she was forced to have sex with Britain’s Prince Andrew in 2001, an allegation he has repeatedly denied. Giuffre died by suicide earlier this year.
