The iOS 26.3 update is finally here for all iPhone users
The iOS 26.3 update is finally here for iPhone users and you don’t need to be a beta user to try out the new version anymore. Apple has been building up to official release for a while and after a slew of beta versions we now have the full update available for all the eligible iPhone users.
In terms of the features, the company has fully focused on making them work through the beta updates, so this public release is mostly about getting the bug and other issues fixed so that people don’t complain about random device freezing or apps not responding.
iOS 26.3 Update: What’s New
Data transfers have been a nightmare across Android and iOS devices for many years but the EU is making these companies change their tactics and make it easier for people to move across platforms. The other EU-centric feature is called Notification forwarding.
This is another big change from the company as you can wear a non-Apple wearable and get notifications from the paired iPhone. It needs to be enabled from Settings but we might not be far from Android smartwatches working with Apple devices.
The other new feature that iPhone users get with the iOS 26.3 update is limiting precise location from cellular network but for this you need devices powered by the Apple C1 chip. There is also improvement for proximity pairing with devices like AirPods but that is also limited to the EU region.
The Apple Music app offers redesigned artwork for playlists and albums which may not be a big deal but it is a change nevertheless.
The Siri AI Push
Now that Apple has got the iOS 26.3 update out of the way, all eyes are eager to see if the iOS 26.4 beta rolling out sometime this month does have the new AI version of Siri in some shape or form. The concern has been sparked because of a new Bloomberg report which claims Apple has hit another snag with the AI Siri rollout and we might not see the AI assistant working on iOS at least until 26.5 or even 26.7 version later this year.
