Trump warns Cuba to make a deal or face consequences, stating Venezuelan oil and money to Havana will stop immediately.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned Cuba to “make a deal" with the United States or face serious consequences, warning that Venezuelan oil and money flowing to Havana would stop.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that Cuba had long relied on large amounts of Venezuelan oil and financial support, but that would no longer continue.
“THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal," the US President wrote.
He said the move was urgent and advised Cuban leaders to negotiate “before it is too late".
Trump’s warning comes amid dramatic developments in Latin America after a US military operation in Venezuela earlier this month in which Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured and taken to the United States.
The US President said Venezuela, which had previously sent oil and funds to Cuba, “doesn’t need protection anymore" from those he described as “thugs and extortionists".
Trump further claimed the United States would now protect Venezuela.
“Venezuela now has the United States of America, the most powerful military in the World (by far!), to protect them, and protect them we will," he noted.
