Apple says iPhone users like its AI features but doesn't say how many use it
Apple is seeing many iPhone users enjoy using its AI-powered features and the company has finally revealed which one tops the popularity list for these users. Apple CEO Tim Cook was understandably quizzed about the adoption of the AI features among those using the iPhone models that are compatible with the Apple AI features.
Speaking at the recent Q1 2026 earnings call, Cook claimed most users with Apple AI support are accessing these tools available from the company. You need the iPhone 15 Pro or higher models to make the best of the Apple AI additions going into the future.
iPhone Users And Apple AI: Working Fine?
The Apple chief shared a positive outlook on the use of Apple AI features and many giving them feedback in that sense with tools like live translation endearing many.
But which one of them is popular among most iPhone users? Cook said that has to be visual intelligence, which is Apple’s version of Gemini Live that uses the phone’s camera to see through your surroundings, search about it on the internet and work across apps on the iPhone.
Besides this, he was sharing the details about the AI features rolled out till date but neither Cook or Apple CEO Kevan Parekh shared the actual userbase for Apple AI features, but claimed that number is steadily increasing. All these details point to 2026 being a crucial year for the company.
Apple says it found Gemini to be the most capable foundation for its future AI plans. The company is going to use Gemini AI for its own features but the company is going to be building and running them through its own AI data servers and private cloud compute system which ensures that all the user data remains private as always.
And Apple’s bid to get Siri AI off the ground could get an early teaser in February, according to a new report. The company’s reported deal with Google to use a custom Gemini AI model to power its assistant is likely to be part of the iOS 26.4 update which is expected to roll out by March or April at maximum.
