US President Donald Trump expressed deep sorrow in the wake of the devastating Air India Flight AI171 crash in Ahmedabad and pledged full American support to India.
“The plane crash was terrible," Donald Trump said in a statement, adding, “I’ve already told them—anything we can do… we’ll be over there immediately."
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, carrying 242 people, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport, killing over 200 passengers and crew, including multiple foreign nationals. Among the deceased were 53 British nationals, 7 from Portugal, 1 Canadian, and the rest Indian citizens.
