An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck near New York City at 10:18 PM local time on August 2, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck near New York City at 10:18 PM local time on August 2, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The residents said that tremors were felt across parts of Manhattan. Meanwhile, no damage or injuries have been reported so far.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 10 km depth at 02:18:52 UTC (10:18 PM local time on August 2), with the epicentre located approximately 18 km north-northwest of New York City and 13 km northwest of Manhattan.
