Aditya Infotech Ltd, which offers video security and surveillance products under the 'CP Plus' brand, on Wednesday (July 8) said that Avathon Inc. and SparkCognition India Private Ltd have initiated arbitration proceedings against the company before the Chamber of Commerce (ICC), New York.
"...we, Aditya Infotech Limited (company), hereby intimate that the company has been informed by Avathon, Inc. (an entity based in Austin, Texas) (Avathon) and SparkCognition India Private Ltd (an entity based in Bengaluru)
(SparkCognition) through their counsel that they have submitted a Request for Arbitration dated 28 May 2026 before the Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for initiating arbitration proceedings against the
company," according to a stock exchange filing.
The company said it was informed by the two entities, through their counsel, that they had submitted a Request for Arbitration dated May 28, 2026. The dispute arises from an agreement under which Aditya Infotech had proposed to purchase and resell certain products of Avathon and SparkCognition.

Aditya Infotech said the disclosure was made with a slight delay as the matter involves a cross-border dispute before the ICC and required coordination with its legal advisors.
According to the filing, Avathon and SparkCognition have alleged a breach of contract by the company and have sought $5 million (approximately ₹47.5 crore), along with 18% interest on the alleged claims accruing from May 16, 2027.
The company said that, based on its management's assessment, the dispute is not expected to have any material financial impact on the company.

Aditya Infotech offers a comprehensive range of advanced video security and surveillance products, technologies and solutions for enterprise and consumer segments under the "CP Plus' brand. In addition, the company offers solutions and services such as fully integrated security systems and security-as-a-service directly and through its distribution network.
