Xiaomi could have its own version of the tri-foldable launching in 2026
Xiaomi could join Samsung and Huawei in the new tri-foldable segment with its own Mix foldable device. The name has been spotted on a certification website this week which is not surprising as more brands look to enter the hybrid fold segment. The Mix TriFold could be Xiaomi’s branding for the product and it should be going up against Samsung’s own TriFold model as well as the Mate XT Ultimate Design from Huawei.
We have seen the foldable space mature in 2025 and it seems to have given them the platform to innovate further. Tri-foldable double or even triples up as multiple devices in one.
Xiaomi Tri-Fold Coming Soon
The specs for the Mix TriFold are not known but Samsung and other brands have given us a template that we expect most of them to adopt for their own tri-foldable devices. The report from China suggests Xiaomi could unveil this device later next year and we feel this product might be limited to its home market and unlikely to get a global bow.
The maturity of the foldable segment has taken a long time, and we had to wait till 2025 to see Samsung offer a product that can easily become a strong alternative to your regular phone.
The TriFold features the traditional folding mechanism that opens from the cover display, the next layer and then the full avatar. You also have IP48 rating and for its stature the Galaxy Z TriFold weighs 309 grams.
The device sports a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED cover display with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. Samsung is using last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chipset with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for the new model. You have it with the latest One UI 8 version based on Android 16 out of the box, and the company is enabling DeX mode to work on the device in the 10-inch form itself.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is tipped to be priced around $2,500 (Rs 2.67 lakh approx) which makes it costlier than the most premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 2TB model in the market.
