The OnePlus 15R is launching this month globally and in India along with the OnePlus Pad 2 Go model and the company has revealed more details about the new upcoming products. The 15R will be the affordable version in the OnePlus 15 series and it will also be the first to be powered by a new Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset.
The company has also teased other details like the display specs, camera features and other possible additions sourced from the premium model.
OnePlus 15R Details We Know And More
The new OnePlus phone will be the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset which is likely to sit below the 8 Elite series in the lineup for Qualcomm. OnePlus 15R is also confirmed to sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support like the premium device. The company is also bringing the Detailmax engine for the cameras on the 15R that will have a dual system with a 50MP main and an 8MP secondary camera.
The device will also come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K rating which makes it highly durable against dust and water. The phone will also be offered with a new Wi-Fi chip and it will have OxygenOS 16 running out of the box but most likely with less OS and security updates.
In addition to the OnePlus 15R, the brand also shared more features about the new OnePlus Pad Go model. It will feature a bigger 12.1-inch display that gets Dolby Vision support. The tablet offers stylus support and you finally have a 5G variant coming this year.
OnePlus is hosting the launch event for these devices on December 17 in Bengaluru where we will hear and see more about their prices and features.
