Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, a representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader, said Ali Khamenei, who had led the country for 37 years, chose to remain at his home even as tensions escalated between Tehran, Israel, and the United States.
“Actually, Ayatollah Khamenei was in his office. Security personnel asked him to move from his office to another city, and he refused. He said, ‘If you could, move 90 million Iranians to another city. After that, I’ll move."
