Iran’s Security Chief Ali Larijani on Monday penned a note to Muslim countries, questioning their lack of support for Tehran as the US-Israeli war is now entering its third week with no clear end in sight, disrupting global energy supplies and raising fears of a spike in global inflation.

Larijani wrote a message addressed to Muslims around the world and the governments of Islamic countries, saying Iran was subjected to a “treacherous American-Zionist aggression" that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, military officials and civilians. He said the aggressors faced a “firm national and Islamic resistance" from the Iranian people.

“You know that, with the exception of rare cases and only within the bounds of political stances, no Islamic country stood with the Iranian people. Nevertheless, the Iranian people, with their strong will, were able to suppress the aggressor until today it is unable to find a way out of this strategic predicament," he said.

More details to be added.
