A suicide bomber blew himself up inside a wedding gathering in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing at least seven people and injuring 25 others, police said. A video of the incident shows guests celebrating at the ceremony, some dancing to the rhythm of drums, moments before the attacker detonated an explosive vest in the crowd.
No outfit has claimed responsibility so far, but suspicion is likely to fall on the Pakistani Taliban, also known as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which has carried out multiple attacks across the country in recent years. The blast occurred at the residence of Noor Alam Mehsud, a pro-government community leader, in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
