US Stock Market LIVE Updates: Stock futures edged higher early Thursday (June 26), with the S&P 500 hovering near its record high. S&P 500 futures gained 0.3%, Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 0.4%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 126 points, or 0.2%. The dollar fell as traders ramped up bets for faster US interest-rate cuts, spurred by a report that President Donald Trump may fast-track his nomination for the next Federal Reserve chief.
US Stock Market LIVE Updates: The US stock market is rising toward the brink of another record. The S&P 500 was 0.6% higher in midday trading and just 0.3% below its all-time high, which was set in February. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 280 points, or 0.7%, as of 11:45 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 0.6% higher. McCormick, the seller of cooking spices, helped lead the way and rallied 4.8% after delivering a better-than-expected profit report. The company also gave a forecast for profit over its full fiscal year that topped analysts’ expectations, including planned efforts to offset increased costs caused by President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
