US Stock Market Live: Futures on Wall Street have tanked after Israel launched targeted attacks on Iran's nuclear programs. The Dow futures are down 700 points, while those on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are down 100 points and 400 points respectively. Iranian state television has confirmed the death of Iran's Armed Forces' Chief of Staff and the chief of the Revolutionary Guards Corps. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has vowed retaliation to Israel's strikes, saying the US would be blamed for these attacks as Israel could not have carried out these strikes without US support. Israel's defence minister has also declared a special situation across the country in anticipation of retaliatory strikes by Iran via drones or missiles. The developments have resulted in Brent Crude and West Texas Intermediate spiking by 12% each and are heading towards the $80 per barrel mark. Global equities are also roiled after these developments, seeing choppy moves. Gold prices have also surged and are heading back towards their record high levels.
