Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:  Nifty 50 opened today's trade session 1,733.1 points away from its record high of 26,277.35.

The Nifty needs to close above levels of 24,565 to report a weekly gain. In case that does not happen, it will be the sixth straight weekly loss for the index. The last instance of the Nifty declining for six weeks was back in February and March 2020, when it corrected for seven weeks in a row.

The Nifty Bank is currently down over 350 points, while the Midcap index is down 660 points.

Adani Enterprises, Bharti Airtel, Shriram Finance, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports are the top Nifty 50 losers around 2.30 pm.

Shares of Bharti Airtel declined after 6.7 crore of its shares of 1.1% of its equity changed hands at ₹12,563 crore in block deals today.

PG Electroplast shares declined 10% after reporting their Q1 results. SBI slippages increased from March, while its margins remained under pressure. Garden Reach Shipbuilders' EBITDA increased nearly 99%.

Shares of Kalyan Jewellers, which reported its Q1 earnings post-market hours on Thursday, are the top Nifty Midcap loser today, down nearly 8%. Shares of Nifty Smallcap loser Data Patterns are down around 9%.

LIC, HPCL, Godrej Consumer Products, Titan, Sun TV, Kalyan Jewellers, Apollo Tyres, Ramco Cements are among the companies reacting to their first quarter results today.

Tata Motors, SBI, Voltas, Info Edge India, Siemens, Grasim Industries, Wockhardt, Garden Reach Shipbuilders, PTC Industries, Afcons Infrastructure, DOMS Industries, Concord Biotech, PG Electroplast, IFICI, Genus Power, Lemon Tree Hotels, Star Cement, Power Mech Projects, Shipping Corporation of India, JK Tyre, Garware Technical Fibres, Bajel Projects, are among the companies reporting their Q1 earnings today.

Vishal Mega Mart, Biocon, Swiggy, are among the other stocks in focus as well today.
