Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday arrived at the White House, where he was welcomed by US President Donald Trump. He is expected to press Trump for long-range Tomahawk missiles, which would allow Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia.
The visit comes just a day after Trump announced a surprise summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding a new dimension to the discussions between Washington and Kyiv. This unexpected move has drawn attention amid ongoing tensions in the region.
Trump and Zelenskyy briefly posed for the cameras before heading inside for talks. The meeting is seen as a key moment for Ukraine as it seeks stronger military support from the United States.
