Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: Equity benchmarks extended their winning run for the eighth consecutive session on Friday, logging their longest gaining streak in a year and closing at a two-month high. The Nifty regained levels above 25,100 while the Sensex added 356 points to end at 81,905. The Nifty climbed 109 points to settle at 25,114, with heavyweight counters such as ICICI Bank and Reliance providing the biggest boost.

Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Nifty Bank gained 140 points to 54,809, while midcaps outperformed, with the index rising 184 points to close at 58,227. Capital goods and PSU indices led sectoral gains, whereas FMCG stocks lagged, with HUL and Eternal slipping 2% each. Auto stocks saw renewed buying interest, led by Maruti Suzuki and Eicher Motors.

On a weekly basis, markets posted their biggest gain in nearly three months, with the Sensex, Nifty, and Nifty Bank each rising over 1%. Midcaps outperformed, advancing 2% for the week. All sectoral indices ended in the green, led by IT and PSU stocks.

Out of the 50 Nifty constituents, 39 closed with gains. BEL, Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance, Infosys, and Adani Enterprises emerged as the top weekly gainers, while Trent, Titan, Eternal, and IndusInd Bank were the worst performers. In the midcap space, Hindustan Copper, Samvardhana Motherson, Titagarh, and MTAR Tech led the winners, while BSE, Crompton, Avenue Supermart, and Angel One were among the notable losers.
