Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty heads into the beginning of a new month and another earnings season after having closed the month of June on a relatively subdued note.
The index snapped a four-day winning streak during which it had gained over 650 points, moving towards record high levels. However, even as the Nifty and the Nifty Bank began the week on a sluggish note, the broader markets stood tall, with PSU Banks emerging as the outperformers.
All the action begins today with companies starting to report auto sales, along with their business updates for the June quarter. Companies like IREDA and NCC have already shared their respective business updates.
Today is also the weekly expiry of the Sensex contracts, a day generally associated with volatility. Monday's high of 25,662 and low of 25,474 will be key for the Nifty today. Any progress on the India-US trade talks can be an additional trigger. Three stocks are also listed on the bourses today.
