Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Johannesburg, where the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties across multiple sectors. Their talks covered trade, investment, technology, artificial intelligence, space, defence, security, research, innovation and cultural cooperation.
Following the meeting, PM Modi took to X and wrote: “Had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The India-Italy Strategic Partnership is growing from strength to strength, greatly benefitting the people of our nations."
