NBCC bags ₹355 crore PMC order for zoo infrastructure project in Nagpur

State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd on Tuesday said it has secured a ₹354.88 crore project management consultancy (PMC) order for major zoo infrastructure works in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The contract, awarded by FDCM Gorewada Zoo Ltd, includes PMC and supervision services for the execution of the African Zoo, Safari Plaza, Animal Hospital, Quarantine Facility, and other allied works.

The order is part of NBCC’s regular course of business and will support infrastructure development at the Gorewada Zoo in Nagpur.

This latest win comes days after the company bagged a ₹295.63 crore PMC contract from the Meerut Development Authority (MDA) on June 23. That order was for redevelopment projects in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

NBCC has been steadily growing its project pipeline, following a strong Q4 showing. The company reported a 29.4% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹176 crore for the March quarter.

Revenue grew 16.2% to ₹4,642.5 crore, while EBITDA increased 19.3% to ₹290 crore. Operating margin stood at 6.25%, slightly higher than the 6.09% posted in the same quarter last year.

Despite the new order, shares of NBCC were trading 2.34% lower at ₹120.33 on the NSE at 3:11 pm, recovering from the day’s low of ₹118.28.
