Dubai, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain News Updates: The UN Security Council on Wednesday passed a resolution calling for Iran to stop its attacks on Gulf countries, even as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates intercepted several Iranian missiles and drones.
The UN Security Council passed a resolution – backed by 13 members with abstentions from Russia and China – calling for Iran to immediately halt its attacks on Gulf states, saying they breach international law and pose a “serious threat to international peace and security”.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry said it has intercepted three ballistic missiles heading towards the Prince Sultan Air Base. The UAE also shot down several Iranian missiles and drones on Wednesday.
