Markets bounced back on Thursday, ending a three-day losing streak. Nifty closed near 25,900 and Sensex gained 429 points, led by midcaps, metals, Vodafone Idea, Shakti Pumps, and Tata Steel.

Market breadth improved, with advances outpacing declines at a 3:2 ratio, as nearly 40 Nifty stocks ended in the green. Bank Nifty gained 249 points to 59,209, while the midcap index surged 570 points to 59,578.
Vodafone Idea jumped 5% to hit its highest level since September 2024, while Shakti Pumps rose 14% after securing a ₹408 crore order. Maruti rebounded 2% after assuring CNBC-TV18 of no impact from Mexico export tariffs.
Other notable movers included DCM Shriram, Tata Steel, Sona BLW, Cipla, Mazagon Dock, and Ola Electric.
