CBSE Calls Off Class 12 Boards in 7 Middle East Countries

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the Class 12 board examinations for students in several Middle East countries amid the ongoing regional crisis.

According to a circular issued on 15 March 2026, the exams scheduled from 16 March to 10 April 2026 for CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE stand cancelled.

This comes after the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) board examinations scheduled at all centres in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
