US President Donald Trump spoke about gas prices and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve while addressing the situation. He said the reserve could be used to influence fuel costs.

“I filled it up once, and I’ll fill it up again. But right now, we’ll reduce it a little bit, and that brings the prices down," Trump said.

Trump also referred to the long history of tensions linked to Iran.

“We have to get rid of the evil… somebody had to do it. 47 years of horror," he said.
