A mass shooting took place on Saturday evening at California’s Stockton. Reportedly, at least seven people got injured in the incident. As per the update shared by San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened along the 1900 block of Lucille Avenue, near Thornton Road.

An investigation is underway in the matter. In a social media post, the Sheriff’s office stated, “The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting in the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue in Stockton. Several victims have been transported to local hospitals. This remains an active scene, and deputies are working to gather additional details. Information is still being confirmed and will be released as it becomes available. We will provide updates as the investigation progresses. Please stay out of the area."

No details related to the suspect have been released as of now.

As per the local media reports, the shooting allegedly occurred during a birthday party celebration.

Several videos and photos related to the incident are being shared on social media. The visuals show heavy deployment of security forces, ambulances, and authorities trying to bring normalcy to the region.

Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee posted on Facebook and said, “Tonight, my heart is heavy in a way that’s hard to put into words. As Vice Mayor of Stockton — and as someone who grew up in this community — I am devastated and angry to learn about the mass shooting at a child’s birthday party. An ice cream shop should never be a place where families fear for their lives."
