26-year-old Indian MBA student from Andhra dies in fire at London home

A 26-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh died in a fire at his home in London, his family and the local police have said. A sudden fire had broken out at the house where he resided, and two others, who were also caught in the incident, managed to escape. However, Ganti Abhishek failed to get out and is believed to have died due to suffocation.

One of the individuals who escaped is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at a hospital in London.

Visuals showed the condition of the house after the blaze, with parts of the house completely charred.

Abhishek was a native of Andhra Pradesh's Peddapuram. His father, Ganti Askar Rao, serves as Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Government Employees’ Association. The 26-year-old had moved to London in 2023 to pursue an MBA and for career opportunities in the English capital.

The tragic news has left Abhishek's family and relatives deeply shocked and grief-stricken.

The London Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
