A recent press briefing on the US strikes on Iran turned into a high-voltage drama, taking an unexpected turn when Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth called out Senior Fox reporter Jennifer Griffin in response to her question.

As questions were asked about a possible intelligence breach tied to the US strikes on Iran, Pete Hegseth stepped in to quash the speculation.

He said, “I’m not aware of any intelligence that I’ve reviewed that says things were not where they were supposed to be, moved or otherwise."

Among the questions was one from Griffin: “Are you certain none of that highly enriched uranium was moved?"

Instead of responding, he took her name and said, “Of course we’re watching every single aspect—but Jennifer, you’ve been about the worst. The one who represents the most intentionally."

While everyone in the room was left stunned, Griffin said, “I take issue with that."

The video of the same also went viral, with netizens reacting to the exchange.

“What a ringing endorsement for Jennifer Griffin’s exceptional reporting. It’s a perfectly fair question. Just answer it," said one user.

A second wrote, “He should drop the F-bomb and call out Jennifer Griffin by name."

“Jennifer Griffin has needed to be called out since the beginning of the Ukraine made-for-TV conflict," said a third.
