YMMI and VFS Global Conclude 2025 Career Advancement Programme for Vocational Students in Jakarta

PUNE: Yayasan Mitra Mandiri Indonesia (YMMI), in partnership with VFS Global and supported by Friends Union for Energising Lives (FUEL), India, successfully concluded the 2025 VFS Global Career Advancement Programme with a closing ceremony in Jakarta, marking the completion of three months of structured training for vocational school students.A statement issued by YMMI stated here on Wednesday that, the programme was conducted at SMKN 25 Jakarta and SMK PGRI 1 Jakarta, building on the strong outcomes of the 2024 edition. It aimed to enhance employability and support a smoother transition from school to the workplace.Approximately 400 students participated in weekly sessions focused on essential workplace competencies, including professional communication, basic customer service, teamwork, and introductory administrative skills.

The training emphasised practical learning, confidence building, and a realistic understanding of professional work environments.Following the completion of the programme, selected high-performing students will be given the opportunity to apply for internships at VFS Global Jakarta. This internship pathway is designed to provide hands-on exposure to real work settings and support early career development.
