India on Friday said that New Delhi and Washington share a comprehensive global strategic partnership, anchored in shared interests, democratic values, and strong people-to-people ties, adding that this “partnership has weathered several transitions and challenges."
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal made the remarks during the weekly press briefing, amid US President Donald Trump’s announcement of plans to impose a 25 per cent tariff on Indian goods.
“We remain focused on the substantive agenda that our two countries have committed to and are confident that the relationship will continue to move forward," he added.
