Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISCKON) reacted to the viral video where a man is seen eating chicken at London’s Govinda restaurant. Calling it a ‘clear act of provocation’, the restaurant has issued an official statement condemning the act. The incident took internet by storm and netzens slammed the social media influencer for the ‘horrible’ act.

The official statement reads, “A recent incident involving a social media influencer at Govinda’s London took place which was a clear act of provocation. Bringing and consuming meat inside the premises where only vegan and vegetarian food is prepared and served was not only inappropriate, but fundamentally misaligned with the sacred purpose of this space."

ISKCON London Radha-Krishna Temple also took to X and posted the statement online.

"

Govinda’s is far more than a restaurant. Since 1969, it has served as a spiritual sanctuary within the ISKCON tradition, offering karma-free meals. The principles that guide us are not trends they are timeless, rooted in devotion, and upheld by generations of practitioners and well-wishers," the statement adds.
