A video has emerged showing two Israeli soldiers killing two Palestinians even though after surrendering in West Bank.

In a footage published on Thursday by the Egyptian news channel Alreid, two Palestinians could be seen leaving a house with their hands raised. After the soldiers took control, they brought them back into the building, where they could be seen being shot to death at close range.

News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

In response, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that “the incident is under review by the commanders on the ground, and will be transferred to the relevant professional bodies".

The Times of Israel quoted the military and police in a joint statement as saying during an ongoing counter-terrorism operation in Jenin, Border Police officers and troops worked to detain several Palestinians suspected of bombing and shooting attacks against Israeli forces.

“The forces entered the area, encircled a structure in which the suspects were located, and initiated a surrender procedure that lasted several hours," they said. “After they exited the building, shots were fired at the wanted persons."

Earlier this month, Israel’s top military prosecutor, Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, submitted her resignation following her admission that she was responsible for leaking a sensitive video to the media. The video, which aired in August 2024, purported to show Israeli soldiers assaulting a Palestinian detainee at the notorious Sde Teiman military detention facility in southern Israel.

The leaked footage captured an incident where a Palestinian detainee, arrested during the Gaza war, was severely beaten by a group of soldiers, with subsequent reports noting he sustained grave injuries, including broken ribs and an internal tear. The Military Police had already launched an investigation into the abuse, leading to the arrest and indictment of five reservist soldiers. This investigation, however, sparked a fierce backlash from right-wing Israeli politicians and activists, who protested and even broke into military compounds, accusing the legal department of prioritising detainees over troops.
