Despite the positive start, Wall Street enters the week on a weak footing, with the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq logging five straight weekly losses.
Investors now turn to key labour market data, including JOLTS, ADP payrolls, and the March jobs report, with markets shut on Friday for Good Friday.

Alaska Air Group shares fell about 8% in early trading on Monday after the airline warned that rising fuel costs would deepen its first-quarter losses.
In a regulatory filing, the company said refining margins on fuel sourced from Singapore—its lowest-cost supply—have surged nearly 400% since early February, increasing from about $0.45 to roughly $2.25 per gallon.
As a result, Alaska Air expects at least a $0.70 hit to earnings per share. The airline now forecasts an adjusted first-quarter loss in the range of $1.50 to $2 per share.

“The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately ‘Open for Business,’ we will conclude our lovely ‘stay’ in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet ‘touched,’” he wrote in a Truth Social post.
“This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year ‘Reign of Terror,’” he added.
