In after-hours trading, Amazon shares fell over 6% after the company issued weaker-than-expected operating income guidance for the current quarter. In contrast, Apple gained 2% after posting better-than-expected earnings and revenue. Meanwhile, just hours before the August 1 “reciprocal” tariff deadline, President Trump rolled out updated levies ranging from 10% to 41%. Goods rerouted through third countries to avoid tariffs will be hit with an additional 40% duty, the White House said.
