US Stock Market Live: Futures on Wall Street are down even after US President Donald Trump announced that a deal with China is "done" and is only subject to approval from leaders of both countries. However, Dow futures are currently down 200 points, S&P 500 futures are down 25 points, while the Nasdaq futures are down 100 points. Trump mentioned that China will have a 55% tariff, while Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said that tariffs on China will not change as the framework agreed upon in London gets implemented. There is still no official statement from China on what transpired during the two days of talks in London. Adding to the worries are rising geopolitical tensions after AFP reported quoting Iran's defence minister that they can attack US military bases in the region in case a conflict is imposed on them if nuclear talks fall through between them and the US. The result is that Brent Crude has crossed the $70 per barrel mark after the biggest single-day move since October last year. The US Dollar is back down to 2023 lows, while Gold has seen buying.
