A migrant boat capsized off San Diego, California, killing 3 people, injuring 4, and leaving 7 missing, including 2 Indian children. The US Coast Guard is searching for the missing, while the Indian Consulate in San Francisco confirmed that two children of a family were missing while parents are being treated in hospital.

A small boat reportedly carrying migrants, including Indians, capsized off San Diego’s coast in California, resulting in the death of three people. Besides, four people also received injuries in the mishap.
An Indian family was also affected in the devastating incident.
The Consulate General of India in San Francisco, in a post on X, informed that two Indian children are missing while their parents are being treated at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
According to the US Coast Guard, four people were rescued while seven people are still missing.
The two taken into custody were suspected to be smugglers, Coast Guard spokesperson Hunter Schnabel told Reuters.
