United States President Donald Trump has extended his self-imposed deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 24 hours, warning that failure to comply could trigger devastating strikes on the country’s critical infrastructure.
In a brief post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, "Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!" without sharing any further details.
