US President Donald Trump on Friday said he might still meet his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in Budapest, the Hungarian capital. Trump made the remarks during his meeting with visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the White House.
Last month, Trump had announced plans to meet Putin in Budapest, but the meeting was postponed after Russia rejected a proposed ceasefire.
"All diplomatic negotiations are hard, but I expect a friendly and easy negotiation," Orban told Hungarian state news media ahead of the meeting when asked if he expected tough talks on exemptions from sanctions on Russian oil companies.
