An American F-15 fighter jet was ‘shot down’ in Kuwait, according to initial reports. The pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft before the crash. However, the cause of crash is not known yet.

As per US reports, the incident occurred after friendly fire, though there has been no official confirmation. However, Iran claimed that it ‘shot down’ the jet.

A video circulated on X showed the fighter jet turning into a fireball before falling from the sky and crashing to the ground. The footage quickly spread online as details about the incident remained limited.

Loud blasts reported in Doha

Meanwhile, several loud blasts were heard across Doha on Monday morning. Residents reported alarm following the sounds, prompting emergency responses, AFP reported. The cause of the blasts was not immediately clear.
