Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: We are half way through the trading session and the markets continue remain jittery. The markets are moving on shaky ground. The Nifty contrary to indications, is trading flat, trading around 24,600. The Nifty Bank is also relatively flat with a negative bias and is below 57,900. Apollo Hospital, SBI Life and Nestle are the top laggards.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the indices are failing to break out of the volatile loop. The markets are trading on a cautious note, with volatility. The Nifty is trading around the 24,600 mark with limited movement. The Sensex, on the other hand, is on a different tangent, rising a major 300 points to 78,800.
The RBI, on expected lines, has decided to retain the repo rate at 5.25%
For the Nifty, the 24,600 mark will be critical, and therefore, the 24,500 - 24,450 zone will act as a key support.
It remains to be seen how the index moves in case it tests 24,800 on the upside yet again.
The Nifty Bank is under immense pressure, falling over 200 points. The banking index, which underperformed for most recently, also saw a jump in the final tick on Tuesday, closing back near the 58,000 mark; sustaining above this will be key.
