Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The markets are trading on a cautious note, with volatility. The Nifty is trading around the 24,600 mark with limited movement. The Sensex, on the other hand, is on a different tangent, rising a major 300 points to 78,800.
The RBI, on expected lines has decided to rerain the repo rate at 5.25%
A big positive for the market is the fall in crude oil prices, with Brent falling below the $80 a barrel mark. The 150-point uptick seen at close on Tuesday took the Nifty past the 24,600 mark again, and therefore, the 24,500 - 24,450 zone will act as a key support.
It remains to be seen how the index moves in case it tests 24,800 on the upside yet again. The Nifty Bank, which underperformed for most of Tuesday, also saw a jump in the final tick on Tuesday, closing back near the 58,000 mark, sustaining above which will be key.
