Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is down over 20 points, as the market looks to close before the holiday on a high. The index is now below 26,200. The Nifty Bank is also on the decline, with a drop of over 300 points from the highs of the day. Coal India, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance, NTPC, Jio Fin, and Hindalco are among the major gainers.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are trading on a cheerful note, as the Nifty index is trading with gains of around 40 points, rising above 26,200. The index is now just 100 points away from the record high mark of 26,325.10. The Sensex index is up around 100 points, trading around the 85,600 mark.
The Nifty Bank index is also trading on a merry note, as the banking index is now up over 150 points, inching towards the 59,500 mark.
For Nifty, the bulls would take solace from the fact that every dip is getting bought into, and 26,000 - 26,100 may turn out to be a firm support. For the Nifty Bank, 59,500 remains the key barrier for a shift in sentiment.
JBM Auto, TTML, Hindustan Copper, Ajanta Pharma, Hindustan Zinc, Manapurram Fin, Nuvama, and Olectra Greentech shares are among the major gainers in the Nifty 500 stocks.
