PNC Infrastructure Ltd reported a 5.8% year-on-year decline in net profit for the third quarter at ₹76.7 crore, down from ₹81.4 crore in the same period last year.
Company's revenue for the quarter fell 18.3% to ₹1,200 crore from ₹1,470 crore, while Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 37% to ₹238.7 crore from ₹379 crore.
The company’s operating margin contracted to 19.9% from 25.8% year-on-year.
Recently on Feb 5, PNC Infratech had informed exchanges that its subsidiary, Awadh Expressway Private Limited, has achieved provisional completion of the “6-lane upgradable to 8-lane Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway” project (Package-2) under Bharatmala Pariyojana on Hybrid Annuity Mode.
PNC Infratech Ltd had also received a letter of acceptance (LoA) worth ₹495.5 crore from the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC), last September.
The project involves the construction of a high-level bridge and approach road on the Hathouri-Atrar-Bavangama Aurai Road, covering a total length of 21.3 km. Awarded under EPC mode, the contract is to be completed within 1,095 days, or three years.
Separately, PNC Infratech had also received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for its proposed acquisition of debt-laden Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL). Under the plan, PNC will acquire at least 95% and up to 100% of JAL, either directly or through a special purpose vehicle.
